As our homes evolve, there are plenty of ways we can switch on more energy efficiency, and reduce our monthly bills. Choosing efficient appliances is one of the easiest ways to keep your home energy costs down. Many New Zealand households could save over $1,000 a year by switching out key household appliances for more efficient options.

We partnered up with Grand Designs host, Tom Webster and built an exact 1:18 scaled New Zealand house to show the small difference that Kiwi can make to their homes when renovation or changing older appliances to make their homes more energy efficient.

The long form content piece was designed to educate and inform people of these options and linked them to a running costs calculator where they could get personalised results and discover the best appliances options for their homes.
